This drupal community website was created as an Alameda Swimming and Water Polo booster blog. It's launch was timely as the local school district suddenly shut down the pools in the fall of 2010 as we helped rally the Alameda swimming community and the local media to address the situation.

While the pools have enjoyed a reprieve, they are still in bad health (and jeopardy) and we are working hard to keep swimming alive in Alameda.

The site offers a lot of benefits to the greater Bay Area too, including a growing catalog of regional swimming pools and open water swim facilities. A fun feature on the front page is a live feed of water temperatures and conditions around the bay.
